We have three very interesting and very different talks lined up for your pleasure this week.

We start on Tuesday with the Dedeney Diaries presented by Diana Crook. The Diaries where written in Lewes around the 1914's and are full of scandal. The roomer is that a number of senior members of the society feature.

Wednesday Miles Jenner will present the History of Harveys Brewery.

Thursday has our very own Dr Jim Etherington taking us through the History of Bonfire.

All talks are at the JHT and start 8pm. The cost is £3 with funds going to the society. I can take internet bookings at philipjlucas@hotmail.com

Dedeney?..Dudeney...I think...and roomer..rumour I think?  However, what a fascinating talk by Diana Crook. What a wickedly ascerbic humour Mrs Dudeney had. Would have liked to have known her...but I suspect I would have been an object of her vitriolic wit!  Pity there weren't more members in attendance!?

What a great evening! Well done whoever got Diane to do that talk. Facinating.  Looming forward to Miles now.
