Independence Day
Closed

I am looking for volunteers to man our (Cliffe) bridge on Sunday 25th. I have 3 teams already of 6 people. I need two more teams. This would mean only an hour per team that day doing your bit for what is a major day in our calendar. Its stamping passports and collecting money. A Viking, Moor or Naval team would look fantastic in costume....  Full training given.
South Street are defending our rear (please feel free to comment on this....) so I feel a bit of pressure to show we can supply enough people from our masses.

Give us a buzz if your interested. If you walked in the French Revolution in 2007 I will be ringing you to join me Vix and the kids for our hour very soon....
                                      Cheers

Hi Ric,

If you still need us then you can have three Vikings who will stamp passports and collect money. Me & Glenys Revell & Nicky Mathews.

Can we have a slightly later slot in the day as I will have just got back from holiday?

Hmmm I will have to wake the costume up early this year - lets hope it is not too irritable about being disturned from it's summer hibernation. It'll seem strange, wearing chinchilla and wolf skin this side of summer.

Good luck with it - I'm looking forward to it.

James

Thanks to those below for volunteering (you do remember that bit dont you?).  As defenders of our great Independent State you are held in great esteem by all the inhabitants and our local, soon to be elected (probably fascist) new President. I leave this message to allow any one else interested to get in touch with either me or one of the teams who will make you feel very welcome. Many hands make light work.

Hey.

Thank you everyone who contributed to Sunday. Please excuse me not naming you all, as so many people had a hand in its organising, running and setting up, some planing since last year to get it right. It was a great success, went very smoothly, and the debrief will be at the JHT on Monday the 9th June. Heres to 2009!

I would just like to thank whoever is responsible for persuading the weather to be much nicer than last year.

Had a great time, thanks and well done to the Flunkers.
